Balasore, Sept 30: A major fire broke out at a Hero Premium motorcycle showroom near the busy Nuasahi Chhak in Balasore city, causing extensive damage to property.

According to reports, the fire broke out suddenly inside the showroom and rapidly spread across the premises. Several expensive motorcycles, spare parts and other equipment and furnishings worth lakhs of rupees were reportedly gutted in the blaze.

Eyewitnesses said thick smoke was first noticed coming from inside the showroom, followed by flames that quickly engulfed the entire establishment. The incident triggered panic among residents and people in the surrounding area.

After being alerted, fire service personnel reached the spot and launched efforts to bring the blaze under control.

The exact cause of the fire remains unclear. Authorities are yet to ascertain whether the blaze was caused by a short circuit or some other factor. Further details are awaited.
