Jaleswar, Oct 29: In a tragic accident early Wednesday morning, a passenger bus, carrying over 60 passengers, crashed into a stationary truck from behind while traveling at high speed on National Highway 16, near the Laxminath Tollgate here.

The accident was so intense that both the bus driver and the helper died on the spot.

Being informed, local police immediately reached the spot and rescued the injured passengers. The injured people were taken to the Jaleswar Community healthcare center for treatment, while eight critically injured were transferred to the G.K Bhattar Hospital, Jaleswar for further treatment.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
