Hyderabad, Nov 22: President Droupadi Murmu departed from Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad on Saturday to attend the centenary celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. The visit is a significant milestone, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of the revered spiritual leader.

Senior officials from the Telangana government, alongside representatives from the central administration, worked closely with airport authorities to ensure a smooth and seamless departure.

In addition to President Murmu, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu are also scheduled to attend the event, which is expected to draw a large number of followers and dignitaries from both India and abroad.

During her visit, President Murmu will take part in various ceremonial and commemorative events, including interactions with devotees and spiritual leaders connected to the Sathya Sai Organisation. The centenary celebrations hold national and international spiritual significance, marking a momentous occasion for the Sathya Sai community.

As part of her itinerary, the President will address the attendees and offer her blessings, reinforcing her commitment to fostering cultural, spiritual, and humanitarian values across the nation. The event organisers have put in place extensive measures to ensure the safety of attendees, efficient crowd management, and the smooth conduct of the ceremonies.
