​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Oct 26: In an annoying situation in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, a group clash erupted at the Saliasahi slum in the city.

Police reached the spot to contain further escalation.

Sources said,two groups of the Saliasahi slum confronted in the evening over possession of a government land. The matter that began from an altercation, took a violent turn when both sides attacked each others.

On being informed, police rushed to the spot and initiated an amicable discussion with the claimants to settle the matter then & there. However, they failed as nobody extended support to the police for the resolve.

Situation is yet tense while armed forces have been deployed to deal with the eventuality.
