Konark, Dec 8: Executive Officer Notified Area Council(NAC), Konark Akruti Goenka has been suspended on Sunday citing delinquency in official duties.
Puri District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain put the EO under suspension for her alleged absence in the office and lack of co-operation in the duties, assigned to her.
According to the order issued by the Collector Puri, EO Goenka was deliberately remaining absent in the office as per the allegations raised by the locals.
Apart from it, she was reportedly absent during the period of Cyclone Dana. Similarly, she was not found in the Konark Festival concluded recently while irregularities were found in plot allocation and repair of roads essentially undertaken before the festival.
The BDO, Gop Block has been assigned as the Executive Officer, NAC Konark till further direction, read the office order.
