​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Jan 13: With the frequent tosses and fatal accidents caused by the Ama Buses in and around Twin-Cities, the Capital Region Urban Transport Authorities, are of course in quest of efficient drivers, for smoother AmaBus services.

The CRUT has recently announced a ‘Bonanza Offer’ for the general public to endorse and recommend experienced drivers’ names for the panel with sizeable TIPS.

The CRUT had installed posters in this connections, in significant locations in the city, at some AmaBus depots & EV charging stations, said reports.

The posters read, ‘Refer a driver and earn Rs 3000 as TIPS’

Responding to the media persons on the venture, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) however issued a clarification regarding the advertisement. It said that the so-called posters citing ‘Bus Driver Referral Programme’ were put up without any official approval from the authorities.

Calling the advertisement absolutely misleading, CRUT said it has no connection with the organisation. Officials further warned that strict action would be taken against the individual whose mobile number appears on the allegedly unofficial banner.

Worth mentioning, the banner was earlier noticed on the inner wall of an EV station within the bus depot on Sunday,that attracted massive criticism from the denizens.
