Mumbai, Dec 12: Esha Deol has shared an emotional tribute video on Instagram, honouring her late father, Bollywood icon Dharmendra. The heartfelt video, which arrives amidst two separate prayer meetings held by Dharmendra’s two families, offers a personal glimpse into his life, both on and off the screen.

The tribute features a beautiful montage of Dharmendra’s cinematic journey, showcasing scenes from some of his most iconic films. A particularly touching moment in the video includes a rare clip of the legendary Dilip Kumar praising Dharmendra during an award ceremony, evoking deep emotions from fans.

In addition to his professional milestones, the video includes intimate family memories, with photographs of Dharmendra's first wife, Prakash Kaur, and their children—Sunny, Bobby, Vijeta, and Ajeeta Deol. It also features warm images of Esha with her father and mother, Hema Malini, and moments of Dharmendra working alongside his sons in films. A heartwarming shot of Dharmendra with his grandson, Karan Deol, is also included.

The video concludes with Dharmendra’s final screen appearance in the upcoming film Ikkis, accompanied by a poignant voiceover. He reflects, "Zindagi bilkul in barf ki resho ki tarah hi toh hai, pal bher ke liye teharti hai aur pighal jaati hai. Par kambhakt jitni der rehti hai badi khubsurat lagti hai magar, ise her jana hi toh hai."

Esha shared the video without a caption and disabled comments, letting the tribute speak for itself.

Dharmendra’s passing on November 24 at the age of 89 marked the end of an era in Indian cinema. On December 11, Hema Malini, along with Esha and Ahana, held a prayer meeting in Delhi in his memory. This followed a prayer meeting organised by Dharmendra’s sons, Sunny and Bobby Deol, in Mumbai on November 27. Although Esha, Ahana, and Hema did not attend the Mumbai service, they held their own ceremony at their home on the same day.

Dharmendra, who was first married to Prakash Kaur and later to Hema Malini, leaves behind a legacy cherished by fans across generations.
