New Delhi, March 19: With the General election-2024 afoot, the Election Core Committee meeting of BJP has begun in the party headquarters here in New Delhi late at night on Tuesday.
BJP National President JP Nadda and Home Minister & party strategist Amit Shah presided the meeting which is said to be phenomenal for the upcoming election in Odisha.
Among other top leaderships of the party, members of the BJP Core Committee, Odisha BJP Chief, Manmohan Samal, Manas Mohanty and National Spokesperson Sambit Patra have participated in the significant and shot-door meeting.
Sources said that, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu, Odisha BJP in-charge Vijayapal Singh Tomar and some senior BJP leaders representing Odisha in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, are scheduled to join the meeting.
Though no prior agenda regarding the emergent meeting was made public, political analysts speculate that the BJP top leaders will resolve the befitting candidatures for as many as 147 Assembly Constituencies and 21 Lok Sabha Segments in Odisha tonight.
Earlier, the Election Core Committee of the Odisha BJP had sponsored a tentative list of selective party faces to the BJP headquarters for top leaders’ perusal.
At a time when faces for Odisha from the National Party is yet to be clearly named, Amit Shah and JP Nadda likely to field the most prospective cadres, to get a thumping majority here, predict political pundits.
