Keonjhar, May 15: A worrying incident unfolded at Bhimkund in Patna, Keonjhar district, where an elderly woman has been stranded on a rock amidst the deep waters of Sanakund. The woman, identified as Savitri Mahantz, wife of Gangadhar Mahantz from the local Ghatbali Jodi village, has been struggling to hold onto the rock for nearly an hour to save her life.

Locals, spotting her in a helpless condition, immediately alerted the fire department.

Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade reached the spot and, with the assistance of villagers, began rescue operations. Efforts are underway to safely rescue the elderly woman who has been holding onto the rock for nearly an hour.

Authorities are continuing the rescue operation with utmost caution.
