Bhubaneswar, March 6: Six people were killed and five others injured in multiple road accidents across Odisha, including incidents in Pipili, Keonjhar, and Dhenkanal districts.

In Dhenkanal's Hatibari village, a trailer carrying asbestos sheets collided with a tractor and overturned into a house, killing Asthir Tarai, who was asleep at the time. The driver and assistant were hospitalized.

In Nayagarh’s Bhapur block, two men, Beer Kishore Dhal and Sankar Biswal, died when their motorcycle crashed into a tree.

Two bike riders died and one was critically injured in Pipili after their vehicle collided with a Hyva truck on the Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway. The identities of the victims are unknown.

In Ganjam’s Khallikote, a youth was killed when his motorcycle was hit by an unknown vehicle on National Highway-16.

A truck accident in Keonjhar occurred when one truck crashed into another parked truck, injuring the driver, who was rescued and hospitalized.

Lastly, a tipper truck overturned near Kendukhunta junction in Nilgiri, injuring the driver. The truck was speeding, possibly due to illegal stone transportation.

Local Police are investigating the incidents, with further updates pending.
