Bhubaneswar/Bhadrak, Mar 21: The Muslim community across Odisha is celebrating the sacred festival of Eid-ul-Fitr today, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The festival, which signifies charity, devotion, and community bonding, is observed after a month-long period of fasting, commencing with the sighting of the moon.

In Bhadrak district, preparations for Eid have created a festive atmosphere. Special prayers were organised at 33 mosques across the district, culminating in a grand congregational prayer at the mosque located near the town’s famous wells. Thousands of devotees gathered to offer prayers collectively, embracing the spirit of unity and faith.

After the prayers, participants greeted one another with hugs and exchanged Eid Mubarak wishes, reinforcing bonds within the community.

To ensure a smooth and safe celebration, the Bhadrak Police have deployed extensive security measures, including patrolling and monitoring of key areas. Authorities urged devotees to follow safety protocols while participating in the festivities.
