Cuttack, July 5: All educational institutions in Cuttack district to remain closed tomorrow(Monday)due to extreme weather forecast.

District Collector Cuttack issued directives in this connection to the concerned officials on Sunday.

According to the letter, in view of the Orange warning issued by the Regional Meteorological Center Bhubaneswar alerting the state, especially of heavy to extremely heavy downpour in Cuttack, all the educational institutions (Government, Aided, and Private schools, Colleges, and Anganwadi Centres) across the Cuttack district shall remain closed on Monday.

Apart from the Department of Education, the district admin has asked the CMC, Police and other line departments, to stay alert for the impending rainfall with essential logistics to address waterlogging and other troublesome situations in the city.

Similarly, the fishermen, construction workers, daily wagers and denizens have been asked to stay at home during the day tomorrow, to get rid of the heavy-rain related furies.
