ED Officer Chintan Raghuvanshi granted bail by High Court in ₹20 lakh bribery case

Cuttack, July 24: The Orissa High Court on Wednesday granted bail to Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer Chintan Raghuvanshi, who was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a ₹20 lakh bribery case.

Justice Gaurishankar Satapathy, who had reserved the verdict after concluding the hearing on Tuesday, pronounced the order today, allowing bail with certain conditions.

Raghuvanshi was arrested on May 30 by the CBI while allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹20 lakh. Following his arrest, he had approached the High Court seeking regular bail. The court, after hearing both sides, delivered its judgment today, granting relief to the suspended ED officer.

Further details on the bail conditions are awaited.
