Bhubaneswar, Nov 26: Nearly 285 days after the death of popular rapper Abhinav Singh, Bengaluru’s Lalbagh Police have arrested his wife, Utkal Deepika Raut, on charges of abetment to suicide. She has been produced before the court.

Abhinav Singh died by suicide on February 10 in Bengaluru. Prior to his death, Deepika Raut had filed multiple complaints against him, including allegations of attempted murder and dowry harassment.

Following the incident, Abhinav’s family accused Deepika of being responsible for his death. They alleged that the rapper was under severe mental distress due to threats, blackmail, and repeated false cases filed by his wife, which they claim pushed him to take the extreme step.

After months of investigation, police have taken action based on the findings and arrested Deepika Raut in connection with the case.
