Bhubaneswar, November 7: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has urged passengers to remain vigilant during the festive rush and report unattended baggage or suspicious activities to Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel or through Railway Helpline No. 139.

In an advisory issued on Saturday, ECoR said special trains, additional deployment of RPF and Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel, and enhanced monitoring have been arranged to manage the festive rush.

Passengers have been advised to maintain queues, avoid overcrowding, follow security instructions and use designated holding areas at stations. They have also been cautioned against rushing on foot overbridges, escalators and platforms.

The Railway warned against travelling on train footboards or rooftops, crossing tracks, unnecessary chain pulling and carrying inflammable materials or firecrackers. Passengers have been urged to follow railway safety rules and cooperate with officials to ensure safe and smooth journeys.
