Bhubaneswar, April 2:The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed the Chief Secretary of Odisha to transfer two district Collectors and six senior IPS officers in various districts to non-election related post with immediate effect.
The Chief Secretary has also been asked to send compliance report to the ECI latest by 5.00PM today.
The ECI’s letter issued in this connection also read, three eligible officers shall be provided in respect of each of the above mentioned posts.
In the letter, ECI Secretary Rakesh Kumar has asked the Odisha Chief Secretary for the transfer of Vineet Bhardwaj, DM & DEO, Cuttack; Parul Patawari, DM & DEO, Jagatsinghpur with immediate effect.
Similarly, the ECI sought the transfer of Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra, SP, Angul; Saravana Vivek M, SP, Berhampur, (District Ganjam); Jugal Kishore Banoth, SP, Khurda; Mitrabhanu Mahapatra, SP, Rourkela; Dr Kanwar Vishal Singh, DCP Cuttack, and Ashish Kumar Singh, IG Central out to non-election related posts.
