Bhubaneswar, Dec 27: As the city prepares to bid farewell to 2025 and welcome the New Year 2026, Bhubaneswar is gearing up for a grand celebration on New Year's Eve. The night promises to be filled with music, dance, and revelry as people gather to celebrate the arrival of 2026.

In view of the expected large crowds and to ensure the safety of the public, the Commissionerate Police has put in place strong security measures for the night. A total of 15 police platoons will be deployed across the Twin City area, ensuring tight surveillance and crowd management. All police station officers will closely monitor their respective areas, ensuring the safety of residents and tourists as well.

The Fire Department has also completed its inspection and is prepared for any emergencies that may arise during the festivities. To tackle any issues related to drunk driving, police will keep a close watch on vehicles, particularly focusing on drivers under the influence of alcohol.

Bar and restaurant owners have been given clear directives to adhere to the stipulated closing times and maintain safety standards. Police Commissioner Suresh Devdatt Singh emphasized that women's safety is a top priority during the celebrations, ensuring a secure environment for all visitors.

Various hotels across Bhubaneswar have prepared special menus and events for the night, with live DJ performances and dance shows planned at multiple venues. From star-studded performances to traditional music, the night will cater to all age groups. Both youngsters and adults will have a chance to enjoy a wide range of entertainment, making it an unforgettable experience.

As Bhubaneswar celebrates the end of one year and the beginning of another, the city remains focused on ensuring a safe, joyous, and memorable experience for everyone.
