​​​​​​​Konark, Oct 8: A massive fire erupted at an E-bike showroom in Konark on Wednesday reportedly after the blast of a battery.

The incident left locals and onlookers stand stunned after the EV showroom, situated near the Madhipur Chowk in Konark Town caught fire all of a sudden in the evening following a major blast triggered from the battery fitted in the EV.

On being informed, fire fighters rushed to the spot and initiated a dousing operation. However, the flames were controlled after scores of vehicles with the entire showroom turned into ashes.

According to sources, no casualty or simple injury was reported following the mishap.

Fire services team is looking into the precise cause behind the incident and assessing the loses.
