Rasulgarh, Sept 30: The Rasulgarh Durga Puja Committee in Bhubaneswar is celebrating the 33rd edition of Durga Puja, offering devotees a divine experience inspired by the spiritual beauty of Devbhumi Uttarakhand. This year, the committee has chosen an awe-inspiring Pandal theme that showcases the serene landscape of Uttarakhand, complete with a hill, lush greenery, paddy fields, and a temple atop where Goddess Durga resides. The 70-feet-high and 120-feet-wide Pandal is designed to captivate visitors, YouTubers, and videographers, making it a visual masterpiece.
The theme also aims to raise awareness about environmental protection, particularly following the recent natural disasters that have affected the hill state. Committee President Prakash Routray stressed that the theme will encourage both the public and devotees to take action toward ecosystem preservation.
To ensure a smooth darshan experience for all devotees, the committee has collaborated with the Commissionerate Police and civic authorities to implement comprehensive arrangements. These include the deployment of 50 private security guards, hundreds of volunteers, and police personnel. Additionally, 40 CCTV cameras will be strategically installed inside and outside the pandal for surveillance, helping to deter any wrongdoers. Five free parking lots will also be made available to accommodate the large number of visitors.
In addition to the devotional experience, the pandal will feature a Meena Bazaar and various types of slings, offering children a unique and enjoyable experience.
Since its inception in 1992, the Rasulgarh Durga Puja Committee has grown significantly, with its budget increasing from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 70 lakh this year. With a steadily growing number of devotees and visitors, the committee is all set to host a grand and secure celebration this year.
