Puri, Sept 12: A drone was spotted flying over the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, sparking serious concerns about the security of the sacred site. The drone, which originated from the Balisahi area, circled the temple before hovering briefly and then departing. This is not the first such incident, as multiple security breaches involving drones have been reported in the past.
The temple grounds are a designated no-fly zone, with strict regulations in place to prevent unauthorized drone activity. Despite these measures, drones have continued to fly over the temple, often capturing images and videos, particularly at night. In response to this latest breach, the police have initiated an investigation to identify the drone operator and bring them to justice.
Earlier, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan had announced plans to implement an anti-drone system at the temple to detect, track, and neutralize any unauthorized drone activities.
