Bhubaneswar, Nov 18: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday delivered a firm message to district collectors, urging them to maintain absolute integrity and distance themselves from any “shadow of corruption.”

Addressing the two-day annual District Collector–SP joint conference in Bhubaneswar, Majhi made it clear that unethical practices will not be tolerated under his administration.

The Chief Minister issued several directives to the collectors, placing the fight against corruption at the top of his agenda. Emphasizing transparency and accountability, he stated that while the state government will extend full support to officers, it expects complete dedication to clean governance.

“The state government will certainly provide all support to district collectors, but will not tolerate corruption, negligence and inefficiencies. I will not tolerate it at all if the government's image is tarnished due to the corrupt practice of officers at whatever level,” Majhi said.

Majhi also highlighted the government's broader vision of building a Developed Odisha by 2036, calling for a governance model that is truly people-centric.

He advised administrators to work with commitment so that citizens receive efficient and high-quality public services.

In his address, the Chief Minister recalled the trust that the people of Odisha have placed in the government. He noted that the administration has been working with responsibility and sincerity to fulfil the promises made to the public.

He expressed gratitude for the blessings and cooperation of the people, which, he said, have enabled the government to implement its commitments effectively.

Majhi reiterated that his government is a government of the people, dedicated to service and driven by the spirit of public welfare.
