Ranchi, Feb 28: At least a dozen of passengers are feared crushed to death under a speedy train at Kalajharia Railway Station in Jharkhand on Wednesday.
As many as two bodies have been recovered so far from under the train by the rescue teams whereas many others are reportedly critical.
According to preliminary reports, a passenger train was passing through the Kalajharia railway station in Jamtara. Meanwhile, the loco pilot applied sudden break as he noticed dust rising off the edge of the rail line. The pilot thought it a fire mishap and stopped the train all of a sudden following which passengers deboarded. At the same time, another train came on the side track and crushed the deboarded passengers.
Being informed, RPF and crew members of the Railway Rescue Team rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation.
