Bhubaneswar, Jan 26: The entire nation is abuzz with celebrations as India marks its 77th Republic Day. In Odisha, various political parties commemorated the occasion with flag-hoisting ceremonies and public addresses.

At the BJP State Office in Bhubaneswar, State President Manmohan Samal hoisted the national flag. The event was attended by MLA Babu Singh, senior BJP leader Jagannath Pradhan, Arabinda Dhali, Priyadarshi Mishra, and other party workers. Addressing the gathering, President Samal extended warm Republic Day greetings to the citizens of the state and encouraged party workers to continue serving the nation with dedication.

Meanwhile, the State Congress Bhavan also marked the 77th Republic Day. Former State President Prasad Harichandan hoisted the tricolor in the presence of several senior party leaders and workers. In his address, he paid homage to the freedom fighters who secured India’s independence from British rule, allowing Indians to live with dignity and freedom in a sovereign nation.

At Shankha Bhavan, the BJD office celebrated the day with a flag-hoisting ceremony led by Chief Naveen Patnaik. Senior Vice President Debi Prasad Mishra presided over the program, highlighting India’s greatness and the enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. He said the freedom struggle under Gandhi’s leadership had sent a global message of peace, non-violence, and friendship.

The Republic Day celebrations across party offices reflected the spirit of patriotism and unity as Odisha joins the nation in honoring its democratic heritage.
