Worth mentioning, in 2019 Supreme Court verdict on the Ayodhya dispute played a pivotal role in clearing the path for the construction of the grand Ram temple. In the aftermath of the court's decision, the government established the 'Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra' Trust, tasked with making decisions regarding the temple's construction in Ayodhya.
Progress on the temple has been consistent under the supervision of the Trust, with the idol of Ram Lalla destined for the temple's sanctum sanctorum.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Ayodhya and participate in the consecration ceremony on January 22, 2024. The Trust extended an invitation to PM Modi, which he graciously accepted.
The consecration ceremony's date, January 22, was finalized after a meeting between the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On that day, PM Modi will perform the pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla during his visit to Ayodhya, marking a significant step forward in the construction process. It's worth noting that the foundation stone for the Ram Temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
