Bhubaneswar, Feb 8: With Matric and Plus 2 examinations afoot, i.e on this 18th & 19th respectively, the Odisha government is all set for taking stricter and smart surveillance measures.

In order to ensure smooth and disciplined conduct of the two pivotal exams, AI cameras at the Exam Centres & question strong rooms will be installed, said government sources.

Underlining the importance of transparency in the Exams, Chief Secretary Anu Garg issued clear instructions to the concerned authorities. She warned that any irregularity or negligence in examination management would invite stricter legal actions.

Any irregularity or violations in Exam norms would be dealt with under the Odisha Examination Management Act, 1988, and the BNSS, she warned.

School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond in a review meeting said QR codes and watermarks will be used on question papers, while AI cameras will keep vigil on question banks and examination centres to preventing question paper leaks and cheating.

Worth mentioning, over 4.16 lakh students are going to appear the +2 exams across 1,357 centres, while more than 5.61 lakh candidates will appear the annual HSC exams at 3,082 centres.
