Bhubaneswar, March 5: BJD nominee Dr Santrupt Mishra & Common Candidate, Dr. Datteswar Hota will clinch victory in the Rajya Sabha elections, said Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.

Responding to pressers during submission of nomination papers by the BJD picks, former Odisha Chief Minister & party president Naveen expressed his confidence regarding the victory of his fellows.

Underlining Mishra’s profile as a befitting candidate for the Upper House, Patnaik said that Dr Santrupt is going to win the race with the absolute support of the BJD Legislators.

Dr. Hota is a renowned Urologist of the nation who is in the fray as a common candidate, will garner supports from both Congress & BJD and beat the contestant in the ensuing Rajya Sabha elections, Naveen added.

Worth mentioning, Santrupt Misra filed his nomination as a candidate of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), submitting three sets of nomination papers. The filing of nominations was attended by members of both the BJD and the Congress

During the nomination process, BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik and Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president Bhakta Das were found present at the scene along with Congress Legislature Party leader Rama Chandra Kadam, among others.

Similarly, BJD & Congress supported Candidate, Dr Datteswar Hota filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha today as a common & consensus candidate.
