Mumbai, July 21: Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who has been experiencing a stellar run in his career, has another exciting project slated for release. His upcoming film, Sardaarji 3, is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2025.
Diljit took to Instagram on Sunday to share the film’s poster. The poster features a monochromatic and blurred image of him with his back to the camera, accompanied by a voice-over dialogue exchange. In his caption, Diljit wrote, “‘Sardaarji 3’ Releasing Worldwide June 27, 2025 @whitehillstudios @manmordsidhu @gunbir_whitehill @sonalisingh.”
The year 2024 has been particularly remarkable for Diljit. He starred in the biopic Amar Singh Chamkila, which premiered on Netflix and received widespread acclaim for its narrative style and hit soundtrack by Oscar- and Grammy-winning composer A. R. Rahman. Additionally, Diljit made a cameo appearance in the female-led film Crew, which featured Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon, and was well-received in theatres.
In a notable crossover event, Diljit performed with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran during Sheeran's +-=÷x 2024 India Tour at the Mahalakshmi Race Course. During the performance, Sheeran even sang in Punjabi, delighting the audience.
Despite his professional successes, Diljit has recently faced controversy. Allegations have surfaced regarding non-payment to dancers during his Diljit Dosanjh – DIL-LUMINATI TOUR in Canada. While some dancers claimed they were not compensated for their work, others expressed satisfaction and honor at performing with Diljit. In response, Diljit’s manager stated that the dancers who raised the allegations had not contacted them regarding the payment dispute.
