Pottangi, June 8: Panic has gripped Bileiguda village under Kunduli Community Health Centre in Koraput district after a sudden outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting was reported.

According to local sources, more than 17 villagers were affected by the illness and were initially found staying at their homes in a sick condition. An ASHA worker from the village immediately alerted the health authorities after receiving information about the growing number of patients.

Following the alert, an ambulance was dispatched from the Kunduli Community Health Centre, and the affected villagers were shifted to the health facility for treatment. Medical teams are currently attending to all the patients admitted to the centre.

However, the exact cause behind the outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting remains unknown at this stage. Health officials have begun preliminary treatment and monitoring, but no official statement has yet been released as the doctors are engaged in treating the patients.
