Dhenkanal: Joranda Mela to be held under Covid restrictions

Dhenkanal, Jan 29: Joranda Mela, famous as Magha Mela at Joranda Mahima shrine in Odisha’s Dhenkanal will be held this year amid Covid restrictions. A Joint meeting comprising the Joranda Mela Committee and Dhenkanal district administration has resolute it on Saturday. According to the minutes, Joranda Mela which is scheduled to be held from February 15 to February 17 will be held without any visitors of devotees. An optimum number of Mahima saints will perform the rituals during the three-day festival due to the surge of Covid cases across the state. Worth mentioning, Mahima saints and visitors in thousand numbers, from across the world are congregated in the shrine during the Joranda Mela, which is organized in the holy month of the Magha.
