Dhenkanal, Oct 6: The Ganesha Bazaar Puja Committee in Dhenkanal has become the talk of the town this year for its grand decoration featuring around 2 quintals and 75 kilograms of silver filigree work. The throne of Goddess Laxmi, crafted with 1.2 kilograms of silver, adds a special touch of grandeur to the splendid setup.
Celebrated for 77 years, the Gajalaxmi Puja at Ganesha Bazaar continues to be a symbol of unity, devotion, and cultural pride. Each year, the committee introduces new attractions to make the celebration more appealing and memorable.
This year, skilled local artisans have created intricate silver designs that give the mandap a divine and majestic look. Organisers said the decoration reflects both the artistic excellence of Dhenkanal and the community’s deep devotion to Goddess Laxmi.
Adding to the festive spirit, the committee has also planned special dance and cultural performances during the Bhasani Yatra, featuring artists from Visakhapatnam and Raipur, promising an evening of vibrant entertainment and celebration.
