Angul, April 5: Union Minister and BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Sambalpur, Dharmendra Pradhan, visited the Maa Bhairavi temple and Prabhu Shree Madan Mohan temple in Angul, where he offered prayers.
Expressing confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Pradhan remarked, "I am here in Athamallik Vidhan Sabha to commence the 'Modi Vijay Abhiyaan', and victory is certain. From this revered place, PM Modi's Ashvamedha Yajna yatra in this region has commenced, affirming victory."
Highlighting the significance of Purnagarh in Angul district, Pradhan mentioned its sacredness, citing the historical context of King Somnath Singh's struggle against the Britishers. He emphasized, "King Somnath Singh fought against the Britishers and made immense sacrifices. It is an honor for me to offer prayers at the Prabhu Shree Madan Mohan temple. This sacred site serves as a guiding light for devotees."
The Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, encompassing 21 constituencies, are scheduled to be held in four phases. The voting is slated for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
