Bhubaneswar, Aug 18: Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took a cup of tea prepared using piped gas during his visit to a beneficiary's residence in Anant Vihar, the capital city of Bhubaneswar.
Today, the Minister highlighted the significance of the initiative, which was initiated by GAIL back in October 2018, involving the distribution of gas through pipelines to households in Bhubaneswar.
During his visit to the home of Ashok Pradhan, one of the beneficiaries residing in the Anant Vihar locality, Pradhan assessed the effectiveness of the piped gas system. Ashok Pradhan affirmed that he has been benefiting from this system for the past 15 days, expressing his family's contentment with the transition to piped gas.
Pradhan emphasized the positive impact of piped gas, stating that it offers cost savings compared to traditional gas cylinders and boasts user-friendly convenience. He cited this as a prime example of the "Ease of Living" concept introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Pradhan predicted that with the streamlining of piped gas distribution, the conventional practices of booking and delivering gas cylinders would become obsolete.
