Bhubaneswar, Nov 17: Expressing happiness, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday shared a picture of President Droupadi Murmu honoring Comptroller and Auditor General of India Girish Chandra Murmu on the occasion of ‘3rd Audit Day celebrations’.
Pradhan shared the picture on his ‘X’ handle and said that we as Odia are proud of two worthy children of Odisha President Draupadi Murmu and CAG of India Girish Chandra Murmu.
This is a great honor for our democracy, tribals and the underprivileged, he added.
It is worth mentioning that to commemorate the historical inception of the institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and its contribution towards good governance, transparency and accountability for over 160 years, 16th November is celebrated every year as ‘Audit Diwas’.
