Cuttack, Nov 20: Thousands of devotees thronged the famous Shaivite shrine Dhabaleswar temple here in Odisha's Cuttack district on the occasion of Fourth Monday of holy Kartik month today.
The devotees were seen offering milk, water, flower, fruits, and ‘bel’ leaves to Lord Dhabaleswar on the auspicious occasion.
People also took holy dip in the Mahanadi River and offered prayers to Lord Shiva to get their wishes fulfilled. People also observed long hours fast as a mark of devotion towards Lord Shiva.
The devotees were seen in a long queue to take a glimpse of the lord. The administration had made elaborate arrangements to ensure hassle-free conduct of rituals for devotees. Moreover, security has been beefed up at the temple as the rush of devotees is expected to increase.
