Bhubaneswar, April 30: Students need to develop character and skills to carve a niche for themselves and shine in society, Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor of SOA Deemed to be University, said on Thursday.
“You have to evolve yourselves and resolve the issues you face in life calmly,” Prof. Nanda said while addressing students of the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL) at ‘Justicia 4.0’, the cultural fest of the institution here.
Prof. Nanda, who was the chief guest at the event, recalled his experience when he attended a conference at IIT Bombay, saying that the event was completely managed by the students. “Everything they did was as per schedule, and the arrangements were up to the mark,” he said while urging the students to have a flawlessly organized event.
He said SNIL was the tenth-best law school in the country as per the 2025 NIRF ranking, while SOA Deemed to be University was ranked 15th nationally by NIRF.
Prof. S.A.K. Azad, Dean of SNIL, while welcoming the Vice-Chancellor, urged the students to make the event a grand success.
Prof. Madhusudan Das, senior professor, said the cultural fest was not only about winning awards but also about making oneself better. Mr. Akash Trikha, Assistant Professor, proposed the vote of thanks.
