Bhubaneswar, November 8: Additional Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Subhashish Panda on Saturday visited the Kalinga Stadium Sports Complex here and took stock of the facilities for the athletes.

The senior IAS officer interacted with athletes and coaches at the High Performance Centres (HPCs) and appreciated their dedication and spirit.

The visit also highlighted Odisha’s commitment to fostering a vibrant sports ecosystem that empowers athletes to achieve excellence.

Panda was accompanied by the State Sports & Youth Services Secretary Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav and senior department officials.

Panda, a 1997-batch Himachal Pradesh cadre officer, has been elevated to Additional Secretary in the PMO in October last year.

The Kalinga Stadium Sports Complex, managed by the Odisha Sports and Youth Services Department, provides athletes with extensive facilities, including an indoor aquatic center, a World Athletics-certified indoor athletics center, and a state-of-the-art Sports Science Centre for injury management and performance enhancement.

The complex also includes various sports courts and fields for football, hockey, badminton, basketball, and tennis, alongside accommodation and a sports hostel.
