The SRC has asked the dist admins to work out on essential preparedness for tackling untoward situations like flash flood due to heavy showers.
According to the IMD Odisha Regional Center, the state may experience heavy to very heavy rainfall till July 22 under the influence of a fresh low pressure area over central and adjoining North Bay of Bengal, which is expected to become more marked and move northwestwards towards Odisha coast during next 2 days.
The monsoon trough is also passing through Jaisalmer, Kota, Guna, Mandla, Pendra Road, Odisha’s Gopalpur tending southeastwards to the centre of the low pressure area over central and adjoining North Bay of Bengal, India Meteorological Department informed on Thursday.
According to the recent newscast issued by the IMD Bhubaneswar Centre, heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across Odisha is likely as the low pressure has turned into a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal.
