Puri, Jan 27: The decision on reopening of Puri Jagannath temple will be held tomorrow. Puri district Collector, Samarth Verma has informed it on Thursday. Sources said the Jagannath temple was shut for the visitors and common devotees from January 9, due to the surge of Covid and Omicron cases across the state. Since then, daily rituals and special occasions are performed by servitors. Meanwhile, some social outfits demanded to reopen the temple soon for the devotees. Acting on it, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the district administration is going to convene a meeting tomorrow. The Chhatisa Nijog, SJTA and Puri district administration and other organisations related to the Puri Jagannath temple will discuss it.
