Puri, Ap 17: The second day of counting the jewels and ornaments in the inner treasury of the Ratnabhandar was completed on Thursday. After the counting process, Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee stated that the first counting of movable treasures in the Ratnabhandar was conducted on March 25. Subsequently, between April 8 and 11, the counting of external treasures was carried out over four days.
The third phase, focusing on the inner treasury, began on April 13 and has now reached its seventh day. On the second day of the inner treasury counting, the process continued for seven hours, starting at 12:25 p.m. and concluding at 7:15 p.m.
All jewels and ornaments are being counted and reconciled according to the 1978 inventory list. The entire process is being conducted with complete transparency and accuracy. Once the counting is finished, a comprehensive report will be prepared and official information will be provided. The Chief Administrator emphasized that this is a time-consuming process, and it is not possible to determine how much has been counted at this stage.
During both the movable and external treasury counts, all work has been carried out meticulously. Each jewel and ornament is being weighed, photographed, and videographed, and 3D scanning is also being conducted to ensure a 100% accurate count. The counting work will be suspended during the Chandan Yatra, as informed by the Chief Administrator.
