Bhubaneswar, Nov 11: Following the explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, security has been intensified across the country, with Odisha placed on high alert. Additional Director General (Law and Order) Sanjay Kumar confirmed that strict security measures have been implemented throughout the state. He also stated that discussions have taken place between the DGP and the ADG to coordinate law and order arrangements.

High alert has been issued at Bhubaneswar Airport, several airstrips, and railway stations across Odisha. Security personnel are maintaining a strong presence inside and outside these facilities. Sniffer dogs and metal detectors are being deployed to monitor suspicious movements, while tourist destinations have also seen a boost in security deployment.

In the wake of the Delhi blast, Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar has stepped up security across key locations. Tight arrangements are in place for Cuttack’s Balijatra and other major events in Bhubaneswar. Night-time convoy patrols are being conducted by zonal ACPs and police station officers, with continuous 24-hour patrolling along the state’s borders, both on land and waterways.

Special night blockades and vehicle checks are being carried out at all entry and exit points of cities. Police officers have been directed to inspect hotels and lodges, verifying the details of all guests staying there.

To ensure comprehensive security, units of the STG, STU, paramilitary forces, state police, and intelligence agencies have been placed on high alert. District SPs and DCPs have received strict instructions to keep close watch over sensitive locations identified by the authorities.

ADG Sanjay Kumar urged citizens to celebrate upcoming festivals without fear, assuring that the police are fully prepared to handle and neutralize any potential threat.
