DA case: Kashipur Forest Range Officer under vigilance scanner

Rayagada, Sept 19: Odisha Vigilance officials launched coordinated raids at nine locations on Friday, targeting properties connected to Antaryami Sahu, a Forest Range Officer stationed at the Kashipur Forest Range in Rayagada district. The raids, based on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance in Jeypore (Koraput), are centered on allegations of the officer's possession of disproportionate assets (DA).

The operation is being led by a team that includes seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), seven Inspectors, nine Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs), and additional staff members. The searches are being carried out in multiple districts, including Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, and Rayagada.

So far, Vigilance officials have seized several important documents, such as bank passbooks and bonds, during the ongoing raids.

The locations under investigation include:

· A building owned by his spouse in Baliguda, Kandhamal

· Another property in Baliguda, Kandhamal

· The house of his in-laws in Karadapada, Nayagarh

· A property in Sraniketa, Daringbadi, Kandhamal

· A building in Daringbadi, Kandhamal

· A structure in Jogiapalli, Kukudakhandi Tahasil, Ganjam

· His cousin’s house in Domuhani, Bhanjanagar, Ganjam

· His office chamber at the Forest Range Office in Kashipur, Rayagada

· A government quarter near the Forest Range Office in Kashipur, Rayagada

The raid operation is underway, with authorities continuing their investigation into the officer's financial dealings.
