Cuttack, Jul 23: Bringing pride to Odisha on the international stage, Ipsita Pattnaik Mohanty, an Odia woman originally from Cuttack, has been crowned Second Runner-Up at the Mrs Malaysia 2026 beauty pageant.

Ipsita was the only Odia and the only Indian contestant among 60 participants in the prestigious competition. The grand finale was held on July 17, where she not only secured the Second Runner-Up title but also won four additional category awards, showcasing her excellence across multiple segments.

Currently residing in Malaysia with her husband Ritesh Mohanty, who works as a director in a private company, and their son, Ipsita shared her achievement during a press conference in Cuttack on Tuesday.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Odisha for their support and encouragement, she dedicated the honour to her home state, saying the achievement belongs to the people and soil of Odisha. Her accomplishment has been widely celebrated as a moment of pride for both Cuttack and the state.
