Cuttack, Aug 22: The Odisha Basketball Association (OBA) will host the 48th State Sub Junior Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, here from Friday.
Players from various districts of Odisha will participate in the four-day state level championship and the winners would be rewarded in various categories, informed OBA president GR Parida on Thursday.
The four-day championship will be inaugurated on Friday by chief guest of the occasion MLA Purna Chandra Sethy.
The winners will be awarded prizes, trophies and certifcates on August 26 by chief guest of the valedictory function Surendra Kumar Jena, Joint Secretary, Sports and Youth Services Department, Government of Odisha.
As in the past, the OBA is committed to host successfully the State Sub-junior Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls with all sincerity, assured OBA secretary Ashok Kumar Sahu.
