Cuttack, Sept 3: In a significant move to ensure a safe and disciplined celebration, the Commissionerate Police of Cuttack has announced that this year’s Dussehra festival will be observed with the slogan “Drug-Free and DJ-Free Immersion.”
The decision was made public during a preparatory meeting held earlier today, chaired by Police Commissioner, where key strategies for managing the upcoming festivities were discussed.
The police have urged all puja organizers across the city to strictly adhere to the High Court’s directives and cooperate in maintaining a secure and peaceful atmosphere during the celebrations.
As part of the preparations, the administration is placing special emphasis on the installation of adequate temporary sanitation facilities, including public toilets, to cater to the large crowds expected during the festival.
In a tech-driven approach to public safety, AI-based crowd management systems will be deployed this year. The Police Commissioner further informed that additional outposts will be established at strategic locations across the city, and dedicated arrangements are being put in place to curb criminal activities during the festivities.
The Commissionerate Police has appealed to citizens and organizers alike to support the campaign and contribute towards a safe, clean, and culturally respectful Dussehra celebration.
