Bhubaneswar, November 8: Around 1,500 plots have been allotted for the upcoming Cuttack Baliyatra, while nearly 300 plots are yet to be sold. A special auction for the remaining plots will be held on November 10, followed by another registration and auction phase on November 11–13.
Meanwhile, the district administration has extended the deadline for submitting tenders for advertisement hoardings till November 9.
However, ground-level preparations remain slow, with major infrastructure work yet to begin despite the event being just a fortnight away.
The delay has raised concerns over the readiness of the administration and event management agency.
The eight-day Baliyatra, celebrating Odisha’s rich maritime heritage, will be held from November 24 to December 1.
