Jajpur, August 16: Following the death of a woman by a crocodile attack in Jajpur, district forest officials warned the public not to enter the Birupa River.
The locals are being sensitized through the public address system on how they can get rid of the man-eater crocodile.

Sources said a team of forest officials on Wednesday reached the spot where the crocodile had dragged the woman into the water and killed her. Subsequently, they launched awareness in the surrounding villages with loudspeakers to avoid going near the bank of the river till the crocodile is trapped.
Worth mentioning, one Jyotsnarani Jena(35) who hails from the Palatpur village in the Bari area was killed by a crocodile at noon while she was reportedly washing clothes at a bathing ghat in the Birupa.
