Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: Lok Bhavan will be opened to the public, allowing visitors to experience its landscaped gardens and vibrant floral displays. The public will also get an opportunity to visit the newly inaugurated ‘Atal Ban’, which was opened on Wednesday.

According to Lok Bhavan authorities, a flower exhibition will be held on the premises from January 10 (Saturday) to January 20. Entry to the garden will be free of cost. Visitors, however, will need to book an online slot in advance through the Lok Bhavan app or official website.

School students will be permitted to visit the flower garden between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, subject to prior permission. Schools are required to send a request letter to the official email ID [email protected]

For the general public, Lok Bhavan will remain open from 2:30 pm to 6:15 pm. The exhibition will feature a wide variety of indigenous and exotic flowers, including orchids and lilies.

The highlight of this year’s exhibition is Atal Ban, which showcases lush greenery along with water bodies and waterfall structures. The display also includes a T-55 battle tank and a Rafale aircraft, along with a model depicting the operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces. Created under the Waste-to-Wealth Mission, the model has been made using automobile scrap and GI sheets.

A nearby deer park is also expected to add to the overall visitor experience.
