Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the second edition of the State-level ‘Subhadra Shakti Mela’ at the IDCO Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

the occasion, the Chief Minister said, the Odisha government aims at transforming 25L women to Lakhpati Didis by 2027, to make the women community self-reliant and enterprising.

“We have prepared a vision framework for a prosperous Odisha by 2036 which will pave the way towards a developed India by 2047. This vision will be realized when the power of our millions of Subhadras awakens”, Majhi added.

Elaboarating the Odisha women’s uncommon feats across the state, Majhi said at least 300 women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from across Odisha are participating in the Subhadra Shakti Mela,who will exhibit their makes, trade and exchange their experise.

Underlining the sizeable allocations of funds for a robust Women Empowerment Majhi said, the government has doubled the Revolving Fund for the Women SHGs and enhanced the Community Investment Fund for Gram Panchayat-level federations from ₹35 lakh to ₹60 lakh, with interest subvention on bank loans.

Among others Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, Mission Shakti Commissioner-cum-Secretary Girish SN, Mission Shakti Director Dr. Monika Priyadarshini attended the state level Subhadra Shakti Mela.
