Cuttack, May 30: After a gap of nearly three years, the coronavirus has made a comeback in Odisha, with fresh cases being reported from key urban centres. The first case in the recent surge was identified in Bhubaneswar on May 8, where an elderly man tested positive and was subsequently admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
In a new development, the first COVID-positive case has now been detected in Cuttack. A 45-year-old man, who had been experiencing cold and fever for the past few days, tested positive following a routine COVID test. Health officials have confirmed the case and are monitoring the situation closely.
Authorities have urged the public to remain cautious and adhere to health guidelines as the state tracks the resurgence of the virus.
