Cuttack, May 11: A Covid-19 patient has escaped from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, triggering panic among the hospital authorities and other patients. He was recently returned from Kerala and was tested positive for the virus. The mobile phone of the patient is switched off. A letter has been sent to the district administration and CMC in this regard from the chief minister's office to find out the patient and inform him of his health condition. The patient was admitted to the Covid ward of SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The patient was recovering from the disease but fled the hospital, said a hospital source. On the other hand, atleatst 470 covid patients are undergoing treatment in this hospital while eight patients have succumbed to this disease.
